Evaluating drug interactions, adverse drug reactions, and level of adherence to highly active antiretroviral therapy regimen amongst HIV-positive patients who referred to an AIDS healthcare center in Fars, southern Iran: the first multifaceted study from Iran

Abstract: Introduction: To the best of our knowledge, this is the first multifaceted study from Iran that has evaluated the adverse drug reactions (ADR), drug-drug interactions (DDIs), and patient adherence to highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) regimen collectively. The HAART regimen is the most effective regimen in the treatment human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). However, this regimen is associated with ADRs and lack of adherence as well as DDIs.
