The purpose of this paper is to propose an integrated multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) approach to analyze interrelationships among sustainability criteria, weight them, and then evaluate suppliers according to these criteria. Data were collected through interviewing with seven experts who are involved in the procurement department of the case. Interpretive structural modelling (ISM), and pairwise comparison questionnaire are used to elicit the existence, strength of relationships among criteria and then weight them by using Fuzzy (Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (FDEMATEL), Fuzzy Preference Programming (FPP), and Analytical Network Process (ANP). Then, Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS) is employed to evaluate suppliers based on identified and analyzed sustainability criteria. This study provides several implications for practitioners and scholars. First, the results show the efficiency of the proposed approach in practice. Second, respondents state that the proposed approach was very useful in decision making based on interrelationships among criteria, alternatives and policies. Third, findings validate the significant difference in rankings with or without considering interdependencies among criteria.

This paper investigates the impact of green supply chain management (GSCM) practices on the performance of UK food retail small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). A quantitative approach using a nonprobability sampling of 84 participants was employed. Based on the literature review, five hypotheses were developed and tested using the partial least square-structural equation modelling (SEM-Smart PLS 2.03) approach. The reviewed literature revealed that key internal drivers (ID) and external pressures (EP) stimulate organizations to initiate GSCM Practices in UK food retail SMEs. Though empirical findings strongly supported the statement that ID influence GSCM practices but they did not show a significant relationship between EP and GSCM practices. Literature also suggests that practicing GSCM can help improve the efficiency, brand image (BI) and profitability, and thus improve the overall firm performance which is also empirically proved. This study helps enrich existing theories on SCM and organizational performance. As to practical impact, this study should facilitate SMEs in GSCM practices and thus help green the economy. While the findings of this study have limited generalizability as the data were collected from UK SMEs only and the sample size was comparatively small, this research establishes a foundation for further study in this domain.

Since being environment-friendly has become more important for manufacturers, green supplier evaluation is one of the most crucial challenges for supply chain in the industry. This study aims to evaluate and choose the best green suppliers by integrating fuzzy AHP and fuzzy Copras for seven green suppliers. Fuzzy AHP is used to determine the importance of green supplier performance criteria. Because the criteria and options that are considered in this study are associated with uncertainty, the fuzzy theory is applied as one of the key tools for modeling uncertainties. In this study, a set of criteria for evaluating the green suppliers is identified. Afterwards, fuzzy Copras is employed to evaluate and choose the best green supplier. The contribution of this study lies in the integration of Copras and analytic hierarchy process techniques for green supplier evaluation. That is fuzzy Copras reveals a solution as an optimized respond when the uncertainty is a significant factor in decision-making process, this enhances the accuracy of AHP pairwise comparison. The findings of this study are beneficial for manufacturers, suppliers, and organizations which attempt to improve the supply chain network by eliminating waste.
