This study attempts to examine the interactions between the tourist experience quality, perceived price reasonableness, and regenerative tourism involvement variables and tourist satisfaction by taking into account the moderating effects of tourist destination loyalty and destination image. The survey was circulated among international tourists visiting the Ha’il region of Saudi Arabia. This study used structural equation modeling (SEM) to analyze the data collected. The results showed significant and positive effects of enjoyment, tourist destination loyalty, and destination image on tourist satisfaction. However, the findings show that escapism, relaxation, involvement, perceived price reasonableness, and regenerative tourism involvement did not have a direct impact on tourist satisfaction. Further, it was found that the destination image moderates the relationship between regenerative tourism involvement and tourist satisfaction. The results also reveal that tourist destination loyalty significantly moderates the relationship between perceived price reasonableness and tourist satisfaction. The influence of regenerative tourism involvement on tourist satisfaction has not been addressed in prior research, to the best of authors’ knowledge, and is, therefore, the unique contribution of this study.

IntroductionChina's urbanization process continues to deepen with social development, but the optimal utilization of ecological, economic resources and Public Health (PH) problems are becoming increasingly severe.MethodsThis paper analyses the optimal use of urban resources based on PH. Here, the public space of urban settlements is selected as the research object. Firstly, the connotation and essence of the ecological economy and Low-Carbon Economy (LCE) are analyzed. Secondly, the characteristics of public space in urban settlements are studied based on PH. The public space satisfaction evaluation model in urban settlements is constructed with five first-level and 12 second-level indicators. Finally, a questionnaire is designed to analyze urban households' outdoor activities and evaluate public space in settlements.ResultsThe influencing factors of residents' satisfaction with public space in settlements are obtained through regression analysis. The results show that residents' satisfaction with the public space of the settlement is mainly evaluated from three aspects: the accessibility of public space, the integrity of public space, and the pleasure of public space. The influence coefficients are 0.355, 0.346, and 0.223, respectively, indicating that the influence degree of the three principal factors decreases in turn.ConclusionWe can optimize the utilization of urban residential public space resources from the aspects of accessibility, integrity and pleasure, so as to promote residents to go to public spaces for outdoor activities and physical exercise, which is more conducive to the public health of residents.

There is a consensus toward quantitative environmental design in the information age, but the content and specific practices of its quantification have yet to be systematically studied. To enhance residents’ subjective well-being through environmental design, this study includes 847 valid questionnaires across four types of communities and identifies different types of resident groups using correspondence analysis. Then, this study compares the differences in the built environment and subjective well-being using one-way ANOVA and analyzes their impact via regression analysis. The results indicate that residents in old communities have the highest subjective well-being (3.93/5) and built environment assessments, and residents in policy housing communities have the lowest subjective well-being (3.37/5) and built environment assessments. A resident’s subjective well-being is more influenced by two types of built environment factors: architecture and landscape and the human–land relationship. Age, education level, public place usage, and the community’s overall evaluation also significantly affect residents’ subjective well-being. In the information age, quantitative design is the inevitable direction of future design. Through quantitative research, targeted design strategies can be proposed to serve community residents better in their communities and provide references for communities in other developing countries.
