“…The focus on "Connecting Land and Water for Healthy Communities" in the March/April issue of Water Resource IMPACT, the 2021 specialty conference and resulting "Findings Statement and Call to Action," and this featured collection of JAWRA all contribute to recognizing land-water disconnections and finding integrated solutions for overcoming them. Much work needs to be done to understand the many dimensions, meanings, and implications of integrating land and water, to promote practices and technologies for facilitating integration, and to evaluate, test, and document the short-and long-term outcomes from integration (Quay et al 2022).
