Abstract: 2-Phenylbenzimidazole-5-sulfonic acid (PBSA) and disodium phenyl dibenzimidazole tetrasulfonate (DPDT) are commercially available ultraviolet (UV) sunscreen filters that are known to undergo radiative relaxation following the absorption of UV light.
