Talaga Biru merupakan destinasi wisata yang diusung oleh Dinas Pariwisata Halmahera Utara dengan konsep ekowisata sebagai pembangunan berkelanjutan. Tapi pada kenyataannya konsep tersebut tidak tercapai karena P-RENSTRA tahun 2016 hingga 2021 tidak memuat laporan mengenai daya dukung lingkungan, maka hal ini menjadi fokus penelitian. Dengan mengusung model Mathusian memperlihatkan tingkat kunjungan sepanjang tahun 2018 yakni 57.12 wisatawan. Sedangkan analisis daya dukung lingkungan yakni total daya tampung lokasi destinasi wisata 47.83 wisatawan. Hasil kajian penelitian ini menginformasikan tingkat kunjungan wisatawan di destinasi wisata Talaga Biru berbanding terbalik dengan daya tampung lokasi destinasi wisata. Selain itu pihak pengelola kawasan destinasi wisata perlu mengatur tingkat kunjungan wisatawan.
