Evaluation And Selection Process of Suppliers Through Analytical Framework: An Emprical Evidence of Evaluation Tool

Abstract: The complex [Cu(en) 2 (H 2 O)](sy) 2 (en)(H 2 O) 2 has been synthesized and characterized by its electronic and vibrational spectra. The molecular structure of the complex has been determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The complex crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with unit-cell parameters a = 10.7236 (5), b = 20.4660(10), c = 14.4523(11)Å and Z = 4. In the cation, the Cu(II) ion has a distorted square pyramidal coordination with two bidendate (en) ligands forming the basal plane and a H 2 O… Show more

“…In this paper we proposed a tool, the controlling system, which aims at optimizing the orders of a specific company. We agree with [9] that the tool itself does not lead to improvements per se. The practical use of the tool bridges the gap between theoretical work and practice, and moves one step towards a better cooperation with the suppliers.…”

“…The focus is concentrated on the identification of selection criteria for suppliers' evaluation by various businesses in the marketplace. [15] Hence, in the spotlight of many researchers (see, e.g., [6], [9], [13], [15], [18], [20], [22], [30]) is the analysis of key performance indicators such as geographical location of supplier; net price after discounts and charges; production facilities and capacities; continuous improvement; ability to be flexible in changes of ordered volumes; delivery time; reasonable tenure; performance history of each supplier or personal relationships that can result in mutual cost reductions. Whereas the price seems to be the main and stable key factor from cost-saving point of view [6], [13], another factors such as the geographical location have decreased in significance in the last years [18].…”

“…The benefits of involving suppliers to product development include leveraging supplier knowledge to reduce costs and lead times of product development [7], getting better access to supplier technology [8], and increased innovation outcomes due to resource pooling and complementary capabilities [9]. In addition, customer involvement may have a positive impact on product success [10], understanding of customer needs [5] and competitor moves [11]; and generation of new ideas [12].The level and degree of supplier innovation in terms of product development is one of the main competitive priorities in supplier selection [13].
