“…Comparing the start‐up sequence of units under the black start preplan developed with or without ESS, we can calculate the additional electricity provided by these units started earlier than expected. Thus, according to the interruption cost of power grid, 68 the loss reduction under various contingency scenarios can be obtained, and the risk value is the black start benefit of ESS.…”

“…System dynamics has been widely used in the energy sector to analyze policies, incentives, and the integration of new resources. In Colombia, this methodology has been used to evaluate incentives for integrating distributed generation (DG) (Carvajal-Quintero et al, 2011Manrique et al, 2013), the impact of integrating DG in the national grid (Marín-Jiménez et al, 2019;, the analysis of islanding operational capacity (Juan D. Marín-Jiménez et al, 2018;Juan David Marín-Jiménez et al, 1 3 2019;Marín Jiménez & Carvajal Quintero, 2017), the incentives for renewable energies (RE) (Arias-Gaviria et al, 2019), demand management programs in the residential sector (Gómez et al, 2015), remuneration of the black-start service (BSS) (Carvajal et al, 2013;, and incentives for the DG and the demand response (DR) to participate in the complementary voltage control, and frequency control and reactive energy control services (Carvajal-Quintero et al, 2012;Dahiana López García, 2019;Manrique, 2010Manrique, , 2017, among others. In this regard, the selected methodology is the ideal tool to analyze the incentives proposed for implementing EE programs in isolated networks of the NIZ.…”

“…Ref. [7] used a system dynamics approach to analyse the behaviour of ancillary service market in the long term. Based on customers' price response functions, a tripartite interest balance of the power producer, the power grid and power users was shown.…”
