Abstract:BACKGROUNDMagnesium antagonizes N-Methyl-D-Aspartate receptor, the receptor known to play an important role in the mechanism of pain. This study was undertaken to determine the effect of magnesium sulphate as an adjunct to lignocaine in Intra-Venous Regional Anaesthesia (IVRA).
