Abstract:Introduction and Aim: Type 2 Diabetes is a complex heterogenous disorder with marked hyperglycemia, reduced insulin sensitivity, increased oxidative stress, and altered carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism. Increased oxidative stress is a key factor for the reduced pancreatic ? cell arose due to prolonged hyperglycemia. The present investigation admits ethanolic extract of Tinosporacordifolia (250mg/kg/body weight) as a potent antihyperglycemic agent as well as antioxidant.
