Evaluation of awareness regarding skin moisturisation and moisturiser usage frequency in individuals over 65 years of age

Abstract: Objective: Skin dryness is a common dermatological problem among older people. We aimed to evaluate the frequency of moisturiser use and awareness of its benefits among older people. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study included 556 individuals over 65 years of age, all of whom were patients at family medicine and dermatology outpatient clinics at a tertiary teaching hospital.
