Evaluation of coir as microwave absorber

Abstract: An evaluation of the absorption properties of coir at microwave frequencies was performed to compare with other organic materials and with polyurethane, a material used to manufacture pyramidal absorbers for anechoic chambers. Similar performances found, gives rise to consider coir as a suitable material for the manufacture of those structures. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 58:1450–1453, 2016
