Abstract:In the present study, the deformation-induced anisotropic mechanical characteristics and the strain distribution are evaluated from the specimens cut from the necking part of polycarbonate. First, large specimens are used to create deformation-induced anisotropy in the necking part via a uniaxial tensile test. Next, the small specimens are cut from the necking parts in an arbitrary direction with respect to the tensile direction of the large specimens. The anisotropic mechanical characteristics in the small sp… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
