The brain is the target organ for both general anesthetic drugs and some drugs that are used to treat nervous disorders which cause brain activation such as piracetam and citicoline however, they work in contrast to each other.Objective: Our study set out to determine the effect of piracetam and citicoline on the anesthetic induction time.Method: For 10 days 24 mice had been treated with piracetam and citicoline in three groups (piracetam group, citicoline group, and mix group). In addition, 7 mice were used as a control group. All mice were assessed with open field test and underwent right reflex and pain reflex tests.Results: The statistical results showed there is a highly significant relationship between the groups that received drugs in comparison to the control group during assessment by open field test (during the first three sequences) with P-value (0.000, 0.039, 0.008), also a non-significant association relationship between the right reflex test and the drug (piracetam with citicoline). On the other hand, there was a highly significant association relationship between the pain reflex test and the drug (piracetam with citicoline) with P-value(0.009).Conclusion: the time required to achieve the surgical anesthesia stage had been delayed by the influence of piracetam and citicoline use.

The serum concentrations of testosterone intact adult male rats increased during long 20-hour term fasting and decreased significantly in short term 14-hour on a normal way of nutrition diet, while decreased concomitant reductions occur in hormone secretion in using the low-fat diet as shown in table-1, Moreover, that interesting the previous study about effect of Ramadan fasting on hormonal level showed significant decreased on the level of testosterone and significant increase of the FSH [20], that instructs to the negative feedback system that controls testosterone secretion which the decreased of the testosterone level lead to change in hypothalamus-pituitary portal system, thus stimulating the secretion of FSH and LH from the anterior pituitary [21][22][23]. The low-fat diet is one of the most used applications to maintain the levels of different hormones and therefore decreased the risk of diseases such as cardiovascular disease. Thus, the current study was designed to investigate the effect of a low-Fat Diet in tow period strategy of fasting in 14 hours and 20 hours by using 36 healthy young male albino rats on testosterone and follicle stimulation hormone.

Leukemia represents a kind of malignancy that affects the bone marrow and blood, resulting in un-controlled proliferation of abnormal leucocytes. Cyclophosphamide (CP) chemotherapy has a number of side effects, including liver toxicity and renal toxicity. The purpose of the current study was to look into the therapeutic role of Camellia sinensis extract (CSE) on caused leukemia in adult male albino rats. Following induction of leukemia with benzene injection, both healthy and leukemic rats were separated into four groups of ten rats each: 1) untreated control rats, 2) induced-leukemia rats, 3) leukemia rats treated orally with (350 mg/kg) daily CSE for 4 weeks, and 4) leukemia rats treated with CP (7.5 mg/kg/48 hr.) for 4 weeks by intraperitoneal injection. At the conclusion of the experiment, the rats were slaughtered. Hematological markers were assessed, including the total blood count. The results showed that treating leukemic rats with CSE effectively alleviated the leukemic complication signs, as evidenced by a significant reduction in WBCs count; additionally, CSE significantly ameliorated histopathological alterations in the spleen, restoring normal area percent of collagen fibers, PAS-stained general carbohydrates, and Myeloperoxidase-positive stained splenocytes in a benzene-induced leukemia model. It is possible to conclude that CSE has anti-leukemic potential, making it a promising treatment option for leukemia.
