“…In this technique, we get insights on how corrosion current is curtailed by the inhibitors employed in the acid media and a decline in corrosion current is an indicator of its efficiency. The uniform corrosion rates are reckoned using Tafel plots [32,33] through PDP analysis invoked as discernment in the process of coeval reactions i. e., MS dissolution (anodic reaction) to the reduction of hydrogen ion (cathodic reaction) on the MS surface. Tafel plots of PQS and MQS in 0.5 M HCl at 303 K are cited in Figure 4(a) and Figure 4(b), establishing variation in concentrations that delineates the curves of reactions (anodic and cathodic) conceded with extrapolation give rise to PDP parameters comprising of anodic slope ( β A ) , cathodic slope ( β c ) , corrosion potential ( E corr ), corrosion current density ( i corr ) and rate of corrosion ( CR ) depicted in Table 2.…”

“…The ML experiments were conducted in vessels with temperature control. The RS specimens were bars and were prepared for such experiments, as stated before [ 31 , 32 ]. The prepared RS specimens were weighed before dipping in the tested solutions, then the specimens were removed from the solutions, washed, dried, and weighed.…”

“…Corrosion inhibitors are organic compounds comprising electron donor atoms and unsaturated bonds, which allow them to be adsorbed on the metal surface and protect such surfaces from the aggressive media [ 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 , 27 , 28 ]. Natural organic compounds are essential kind of ecological inhibitors for metallic corrosion to meet environmental requests [ 29 , 30 , 31 , 32 , 33 , 34 ]. Additionally, oxygen-rich compounds are desirable inhibitors for corrosion because they are renewable, biodegradable, and environmentally acceptable.…”

“…ILB molecules demonstrate their high efficacy in preventing corrosion in steel by forming a strong chemical bond between the molecules and the Fe(110) surface. They also highlighted the effects of electronic transmission from the adsorbate to the substrate and dipole interactions [51,52]. MD simulations were performed to better understand the inhibitory process on the metal surface and to identify the low adsorption energy (E ads ) sites on the ions' surfaces.…”
