“…The X 100 = 1- effectiveness of acetamiprid + fipronil against BPH and GLH in paddy has been reported by Roshan et al (2018), hence confirm the present findings in this respect. Similar results regarding the efficacy of thiamethoxam 25 WG @0.005% obtained in the present investigation also corroborating with the earlier findings of Ganapathy and Kuruppiah (2004), Ahirwar et al (2016), Sujatha and Bharpoda (2017) against whitefly in various crops.…”

“…The results of this study clearly indicate that insect infestations during flowering and pod formation are factors that limit the production of sufficient cowpea in the production area. This observation is in agreement with Sujatha and Bharpoda [33] which showed that cowpea is more vulnerable to insects during the reproductive stage than at the vegetative stage. Application of insecticide treatments at these stages effectively controls M. vitrata R. dentipes and A. varium infestation and ensures optimum pod yield.…”

“…The weight of pods and seeds was determined using a sensitive weighing scale. The formula of Ahmed, et al [32], Sujatha and Bharpoda [33] was used to calculate the percentage increase in yield over control.…”

“…revealed that thiamethoxam (0.025%) proved to be effective in reducing the leafhopper, whitefly and aphid population by 81.32 %, 87.78 % and 92.61 %, respectively over untreated control in cluster bean. Sujatha and Bharpoda (2017) conducted an experiment and reported that thiamethoxam 25WG (0.01%) was found to be more effective against the sucking pests by recording lowest population of 0.38 aphids and 0.08whiteflies per three leaves, respectively on greengram.…”
