Abstract:The naphtha cracking process results in the production of ethylene, propylene, mixed C4, and pygas, which are all olefins. Distillation columns and cracking furnaces are the primary units of operation. The price of raw materials accounts for 80% of production costs. There is also the pos-sibility of using LPG, a less expensive raw material, in place of some of the naphtha.
