Synopsis
The L shell X-ray production cross sections for elements (Z = 66, 67 and 68) at three different low proton energies i.e. 260, 280 and 300 keV have been investigated. Calculations are based on the ECPSSR model and its modified form i.e. ECPSSR-UA model. During calculations with ECPSSR theory, a significant phenomenon known as multiple ionization (MI) has been included. Theoretically calculated values are compared with the experimental values. The calculations with ECPSSR-MI shows improved results.
