“…Our meta-analysis documented that the LVEF did not change significantly after bariatric surgery. Some studies did not report any LVEF improvement [ 16 , 19 , 20 , 22 , 26 ]; this was not the case with GLS, which was significantly improved in all examined studies [ 16 , 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 , 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 , 27 , 28 ].
