Evaluation of quality defining attributes of reinforced cement concrete constructions using analytic hierarchy process

Abstract

Reinforced cement concrete (RCC) is the most extensively used construction material in construction industries. The concrete consumption rate every year is about 3 tons per person [1]. By 2050, concrete production is expected to rise by 2.5% annually to 4.4 billion tonnes [2]. The quality of RCC construction is influenced by factors like ingredient quality, production techniques, strength, durability, workability, and homogeneity. *Author for correspondence This requires comprehensive and inclusive perception as per Indian standards (IS 456:2000).
