Abstract:The liquefaction phenomenon in sandy soil due to an increased pore-water pressure ratio during an earthquake can have significant consequences. The 2018 liquefaction event in Sibalaya, Central Sulawesi, highlights the need for mitigation measures to prevent similar incidents.
