Abstract:Antibiotic resistance has become a global health problem for humankind. Improper use of antibiotics resulted in the increasing evolved bacterial resistance to them. There are different types of bacterial resistance mechanisms including efflux pumps. To overcome the efflux pump activity on the drugs, combinatorial therapy of the existing antimicrobials with natural products is a promising insight to prevent increasing multidrug resistance. In this study, the inhibitory action of a plant-derived molecule silibin… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
