The blockchain has been proposed for use in various applications in the energy field. Although the blockchain has technical strengths, several obstacles affect the application of the technology in energy services. The scope of this study is to highlight and prioritise the most important barriers to such applications. The first step in this direction is specifying the potential areas of the implementation of blockchain technology in the energy sector. Two useful tools for market analysis were used: Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and Environmental, PESTLE Analysis, and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats, SWOT Analysis, which examine external and internal factors, respectively. Thus, a list of the most important elements hindering the incorporation of the blockchain in the energy sector was extracted. The detected barriers were classified and ranked by energy and IT experts using the multicriteria method, “Analytical Hierarchy Process for Group Decision Making”. The results reveal that legal barriers relating to the complexities of deficiencies of regulations are the most significant, while technological barriers, especially those related to security issues, are also important. Sociopolitical barriers related mainly to lack of trust in blockchain, as well as economic concerns such as high upfront costs, are less influential but should still be considered. The conclusions of the conducted research have the potential to guide market actors in their endeavours to modernise energy systems through the use of the blockchain, assisting them in designing the most appropriate market strategies.

The selection of organizational strategies should be approached with a systemic process that interrelates the decision elements. The objective of this paper is to present an organizational decision framework that incorporates the key elements in a decision-making process to select the best strategic option, considering the interdependence among all of them. A large Colombian company in the manufacturing sector is used as a case study. The Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats and Opportunities (SWOT) and the Analytical Network Process (ANP) approaches were combined for this purpose. The network integrates SWOT, Porter's generic strategies, corporate strategies, and, as a new addition, key success factors (KSF). The results include the simultaneous ranking of the generic strategies and associated corporate strategies, as well as the ranking of the influence the key criteria clusters on the prioritized strategies.

Digital technologies are including many different technologies that enable information to be collected, stored, and easily accessed when needed. The use of digital technologies is also increasing in the health sector, where service processes are intense and complex. Strategic considerations would be appropriate to analyze the use of these technologies. For this reason, in this study, a strategic evaluation was made on digital technologies in the health sector. With the SWOT analysis, the current situation analysis regarding digital technologies in the health sector was made. Then, the weights of SWOT factors were determined with the multiple preference relations (MPR) integrated DEMATEL method. Subsequently, alternative strategies were determined and prioritized with MPR integrated TOPSIS method. The MPR technique is aimed to analyze the uncertainties and reach more accurate and reliable results by gathering the evaluations of experts in different formats or incomplete opinions under a single group decision. The proposed methodology integrated with SWOT analysis on digital technologies in the health sector constitutes the originality of the study. In line with the results obtained from this study, both researchers and managers will be able to create and use more effective digital technology strategies for the health sector.
