Evaluation of synthesized polyaniline nanofibres as corrosion protection film coating on copper substrate by electrophoretic deposition

Abstract: In this current paper, we report the use of inexpensive, simple electrophoretic deposition (EPD) technique in developing polyaniline (PANI) aqueous colloidal suspension coating on copper (Cu) substrate. Polyaniline nanoparticle films were deposited electrophoretically on the surface of copper sheet electrode. A colloidal suspension with high stability was produced by a liquid polyaniline in the presence of formic acid and acetonitrile as electrolyte for the EPD process. The suspension of the PANI was character… Show more

“…Currently, flame retardants are roughly divided into organic flame retardants and inorganic flame retardants. Among them, organic flame retardants have good flame retardant properties, but the general halogen, N, and P-containing organic flame retardants are in EP mixed combustion will bring a lot of black smoke, and may also emit a lot of toxic gas, which cause serious harm to environment and mankind health [15][16][17]. Thus, more and more researchers are paying attention to the development of inorganic flame retardants, such as modified carbon nanotubes [18], finely-ground ocher [19], filler-diorite [20], etc.…”

“…However, the percentages of these SCMs utilized in place of OPC are frequently regulated [21][22][23]. Using fly ash as an example, while it exhibits pozzolanic properties at various phases of OPC hydration, it plays a minor influence in early strength development [24][25][26][27][28][29]. The inclusion of fly ash can decrease the rate of initial hydration and lengthen the time of setting [30][31][32], limiting their application in large contents.…”

“…Likewise, hot galvanization mainly carries zinc or zinc-aluminium protective coatings on steel coils in factories [3,4]. Researchers are still trying to develop techniques for coating corrosion protection with metal alloys or relatively inexpensive polymer materials: for instance, using polyaniline coating with the deposition electrophoresis technique [5]. Steel corrosion cannot be stopped entirely but is only inhibited by a protective layer.…”
