Abstract: Introduction: The protein CTLA-4 (Cytotoxic T Lymphocyte Antigen-4) is a molecule that plays a significant role in maintaining immunological homeostasis. Recent studies demonstrated an unequivocal proof that CTLA-4 has an inhibitory effect on immune response.
