Abstract: Introduction: Hallux rigidus (HR) is a frequent pathological condition of the foot, responsible for marked functional impairment. Metatarsal-phalangeal arthrodesis is an excellent treatment alternative for advanced stages of the disease, usually performed as an open surgery.
