Evaluation of the effect of electron beam therapy on oxidative stress and some minerals in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract: Background: The study on the control and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, as a growing metabolic disease in the world, is important. Oxidative stress and reactive oxygen species in uncontrolled diabetes can play a role in the consequences of diabetes such as neuropathy and nephropathy. The presence of minerals as bioactive compounds in the diet and their role in antioxidant enzymes can play a role in reducing the oxidative effects of diabetes. Electron beam therapy as an adjunct method can be effective i… Show more

“…We concur with the elucidation provided in the works of P.K. Ghosh [29] and others, wherein the inclusion of legume green manures is associated with a solubilizing impact on macronutrients-such as nitrogen, phosphorus, An increase in the functional activity of eggplant fruits because of the applied technology provides grounds for considering such fruits as a functional food, according to the definition of the Food Functional several chronic diseases [53][54].…”

“…Complications associated with beta‐thalassemia include iron overload, splenomegaly, growth retardation, immune system disorders, heart and renal failure, and liver disease 6,7 . Iron overload is a major concern for patients with TDT, as it can lead to severe complications such as endocrinopathy, cardiomyopathy, diabetes, auditory abnormalities, osteoporosis, and growth failure 6,8 . This occurs due to increased intestinal absorption of iron due to erythropoiesis, leading to its accumulation in various organs 9 .…”
