“…However, the Turkish unit was a 55-bed ICU catering for a variety of patients (including neurosurgical patients, who typically have higher VAP rates), whereas our ICU is principally a surgical/medical one, so the two cannot be directly compared. [11] For CLABSIs, using the recognised standard for risk adjusting and comparing HAI rates, we demonstrated a SIR of <1 for all 3 years.
