“…According to Badawy et al (2022), at the planning phase, the most significant risks in residential construction were fluctuation of exchange rate, variation in costs of building materials, augmentation in fuel cost, inflation and foreignexchange taxes. Mohammed (2016) statistically analyzed that the top risk factors that have a major impact on the cost of construction projects in Irbil city of Iraq are rise in costs of building materials, bad cost management, project's design change, incorrect cost estimation and low equipment efficiency.
