Abstract:This study will evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of using Cellulose derived from Rice husk and Saw dust as cement slurry additive to replace the conventional cellulose in order to minimize cost and optimize drilling. Rice husks and Saw dusts were processed and Carboxylmethyl Cellulose (CMC) extracted with Sodium Hydroxide, Ethanol and Sodium Monochloroacetate.
