Abstract:Background: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of eliminating closed suction drainage (CSD) and utilizing intravenous and intra-articular tranexamic acid on blood loss, blood transfusion, hospital stay, and dressing changes subsequent to total knee arthroplasty (TKA) surgery.
