[ 15 ] This study was conducted with the aim of clinical evaluation, head, and neck CT scans, and laboratory tests of patients with maxillofacial abscesses admitted to the Shaheed Rajaie Surgical Acute Care Center of Shiraz from 2019-2021. Em estudo anterior 13 , com base em análises de tomografias computadorizadas de pacientes com infecção odontogênica, foi possível observar que os espaços mais envolvidos eram: vestibular em 58,2%, submandibular em 18,6%, pterigomandibular em 6,2%, bucal em 5,4%, faríngeo lateral em 5,4%, canino em 2,3%, submasséterico em 2,3%, sublingual em 0,8% e infratemporal em 0,8%.
