Evidence for the diagenetic formation of fused aromatic ring structures in an organic soil

Abstract: <p>Understanding the molecular make-up of recalcitrant organic matter (rSOM) is important to postulate the capability of soil organic matter (SOM) to sequester carbon and mitigate climate change.
