Evidence for Violation of theΔI=12Rule inK+→3

Abstract

A significant violation of the AI=i rule has been detected in K*-+ Sir decay. The ratio of the coefficients of the linear terms in the squared matrix elements of T /+ (K +~* 7r + + 27T 0 ) and r + (K+~* 2TT + + TT~) is found to be -2.63 ±0.18 (as compared with the A/=i rule prediction of -2), when the results of the Riverside T ,+ experiment are used together with the results of the present T + experiment.
