Abstract:WHAT'S KNOWN ON THIS SUBJECT: Acquired widespread pain syndromes of youth are prevalent, disabling, usually unexplained, and untreatable. Small-fiber polyneuropathy causes widespread pain and multisystem complaints in older adults. Some causes are treatable.
