Abstract:This study examines the validity of a universal screener for predicting performance on a state mathematics test. Utilizing hierarchical linear modeling, results show the scores on the mathematics universal screener across three timepoints were positively related to test scores (p < .001). The results persist after controlling for student and school differences.
