“…Zhao et al [42] first classified red sandstone into three categories according to the water immersion test: Type I, Type II and Type III red sandstone, among which Type I red sandstone has the strongest disintegration, and the most research value is to carry out disintegration inhibition test for it. Subsequently, they carried out disintegration test by simulating the state of disintegration of red sandstone under the natural conditions, analyzed and counted the particle size distribution of disintegrated particles, and combined with the construction of the roadbed project in the actual project, calculated the fractal dimension of disintegration tending to be stable [19,38].
