Abstract:In Canada, the term "feminism" has begun to emerge since the late 19th century when there was the first wave of Canadian feminism. The era of this initial movement advocating for women's right to vote came to an end around 1920. The second wave, which ended around 1985, was in support of equality in the fields of education and employment and advocated for a movement to end the violence against women.
