Abstract: Epsilon ionotropic glutamate receptors (iGluRs) belong to a recently described sub-family of metazoan receptors that is distinct from the AMPA, Kainate, Delta, and Phi (i.e., AKDF) sub-family, the NMDA sub-family, and the Lambda subfamily.
