Evolution of Primordial Black Hole Mass Spectrum in Brans–dicke Theory

Abstract: We investigate the evolution of primordial black hole mass spectrum by including both accretion of radiation and Hawking evaporation within Brans-Dicke cosmology in radiation, matter and vacuum-dominated eras. We also consider the effect of evaporation of primordial black holes on the expansion dynamics of the universe. The analytic solutions describing the energy density of the black holes in equilibrium with radiation are presented. We demonstrate that these solutions act as attractors for the system ensurin… Show more

“…In literature so many works [74][75][76][77][78][79][80] are found, involving absorption of radiation, matter and dark energy. We, here, discuss accretion of energy-matter from the surroundings, when the gravity is modified due to metric formalism.…”

“…Cosmological consequences of evaporation of PBHs in different eras have been studied quite well [13,14] (see [15] for new cosmological constraints on PBHs). It has been realized during last couple of years that the effect of accretion in the radiation dominated era can result in longlived PBHs in braneworld scenario [16], in Brans-Dicke theory [17,18,19] as well as in standard cosmology [20]. The impact of accretion of phantom energy and vacuum energy on the evolution of PBH has also been discussed in refs [21,22].…”
