Evolution of supersonic cooling film flow over concave and convex surfaces with different radius curvatures

Abstract: A cooling film (Mach 2.3) is injected into a supersonic wind tunnel's (Mach 3.8) flow field. As the curvature radius decreases, mixing layer destabilization is delayed on the CV (convex wall) and advanced on the CC (concave wall). When x = 20–60 mm, wall pressure is influenced by the cooling film, and when x = 100–220 mm, curvature dominates.
