Abstract:Using ion-implanted 8 Li π½-detected NMR, we study the evolution of the correlated metallic state of LaNiO 3 in a series of LaNiO 3 /LaAlO 3 superlattices as a function of bilayer thickness. Spin-lattice relaxation measurements in an applied field of 6.55 T reveal two equal amplitude components: one with metallic (π-linear) 1/π 1 , and a second with a more complex π-dependence. The metallic character of the slow relaxing component is only weakly affected by the LaNiO 3 thickness, while the fast component is… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citationsβcitations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
