A transition value (γ) can be defined as (1/2, 3/2, 2, 3) assigned to direct, forbidden, indirect, and forbidden indirect transitions. , In this study, the band gap values of 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20% Mn-doped MoS 2 were calculated to be 1.98, 1.8, 1.7, 1.12, and 1.103 eV, respectively. This result indicates that the band gap decreases with an increase in the concentration of Mn, which is consistent with the presence of manganese in the as-synthesized samples.…”
