“…What kind of task demand and developmental changes evoke deliberate practice are beyond the purview of the expert performance perspective. In light of Evolving Complexity Theory (ECT), the present study sought to explain Matthew effects from a developmental perspective, in terms of how increasing task demand and higher professional expectations trigger maximal adaptation (Dai, 2021). The present study provides a multi-case analysis, in which we took an up-close look at what exactly transpired for five individuals over the years, especially when the early entrants went through four years of college and continued their graduate studies in the United States.…”

They are dynamic, reflecting a multiplicity of causalities at multiple scale and complexity levels that interact with multiple societal subsystems 93,94 . As a consequence, explaining the formation of talent denied and equity gaps in STEMM and conceptualizing approaches to closing them cannot be the sole responsibility of the education system and those directly involved in STEMM talent support.…”

“…Extracurricular activities have the aim of developing cooperation and independence of students (Sabo & Mureşianu, 2015), expanding knowledge, and honing students' skills with scouting activities, spirituality, arts, martial arts, and sports (Jackson & Bridgstock, 2021;Tran, 2017). Education is not only about cultivating knowledge or skills but also about functions to develop potential talents, interests (Abdujabbarova & Isamova, 2020;Dai, 2021;Ilyashenko et al, 2019), social responsibility, and career readiness of students (Hansen & Hoag, 2018). In line with the educational function, spiritual extracurricular activities function as fostering Islamic behavior, character development, creativity, expanding experience, practicing social skills, internalizing moral, social, religious values, realizing religious culture, enhancing Islamic syi'ar, and being carried out in a relaxed, joyful atmosphere, and fun (Syarifuddin, 2018).…”
