Abstract:The equilibrium states of the system under consideration are governed by a nonlinear elliptic partial differential equation (PDE) for the helical magnetic flux function containing surface quantities along with a relation for the pressure. This leads to the study of equilibrium equations, which permit the derivation of several classes of analytic solutions with non-constant Mach number and differentially varying electric field perpendicular to the magnetic surfaces. The aim of this paper is the analytical solut… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
