Abstract:The literature revealed correlations between high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) and vaso-occlusive disease. Specifically, positive linear relationships exist between LDL and VLDL and the development of vaso-occlusive disease.
