“…On the way to sustainable development, photocatalytic oxidation with molecular oxygen offers a promising strategy for green synthesis with reduced pollutants and energy consumption. The benzyl group has been widely utilized as a protecting group for wide applications in the multistep synthesis of drugs, , dyes, , fine chemicals, and energetic materials, resulting in widespread attention to debenzylation.…”

“…[35] Carbon nitride (C 3 N 4 ), which can be prepared by simple thermal polymerization, exhibits high thermal and chemical stability to acids and bases. Moreover, owing to the nitrogenrich structure of C 3 N 4 , the interaction widely existed between the electron pairs of nitrogen atoms and the metal when C 3 N 4 was used as the carrier of the heterogeneous catalysts, [36][37] which may not only result into the stable deposition stably and uniform dispersion on C 3 N 4 but also improve the electron conduction between the carrier and the metal center. Consequently, C 3 N 4 is a good candidate for heterogenous catalytst for application in green and sustainable catalytic processes.…”

“…Very recently, our group has deposited palladium onto the mesoporous g-C 3 N 4 to obtain Pd/g-C 3 N 4 , which exhibited higher performance and better stability than Pd/C in the hydrodebenzylation of HBIW. [20] Because the preparation of mesoporous g-C 3 N 4 is time-consuming, the palladium was deposited onto the C 3 N 4 nanosheet, which can be prepared easily and on large scale, to prepare Pd/g-C 3 N 4 NS as catalysts. After Pd/g-C 3 N 4 NS was characterized thoroughly, its catalytic performance was evaluated in terms of kinetic and yield on the hydrogenolysis of HBIW(Scheme 1).…”
