Excitation cross-sections of singly charged Zinc ion in E-Zn collisions

Abstract: The method of extended crossing beam with recording of optical signal from the intersection area between the electron and atom beams was used to study excitation of singly-charged zinc ion from the ground state of the zinc atom. Fiftyfive ZnII excitation cross sections have been measured at incident electron energy of 30 eV. Seven optical excitation functions (OEFs) have been recorded in the electron energy range E = 0-200 eV. The results obtained have been compared with findings from past experiments.
