Excited-state dynamics of the all-trans protonated retinal Schiff base in CRABPII-based rhodopsin mimics

Abstract: The rhodopsin mimic is a chemically synthetized complex with the retinyl Schiff base (RSB) formed between protein and the retinal chromophore, which can mimic the natural rhodopsin-like protein. The artificial rhodopsin mimic is more stable and designable than the natural protein and hence has wider uses in photon detection devices.
