ExclusiveDssemileptonic branching fraction measurements

Abstract: We measure absolute branching fractions for six exclusive Ds semileptonic decays. We use data collected in the CLEO-c detector from e + e − annihilations delivered by the Cornell Electron Storage Ring with a center-of-mass energy near 4170 MeV. We find B(Ds → φeν) = (2.14 ± 0.17 ± 0.08)%, B(Ds → ηeν) = (2.28 ± 0.14 ± 0.19)%, and B(Ds → η ′ eν) = (0.68 ± 0.15 ± 0.06)% for the largest modes, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. We also obtain B(Ds → K 0 eν) = (0.39 ± 0.08 … Show more

“…The maximum changes of the branching fractions are assigned as the uncertainties; they are found to be 0.3%, 0.6% and 0.3% for D [7][8][9] and the average values from PDG [4]. The branching fractions measured in this work are in good agreement with the previous measurements within uncertainties.…”

“…The ratios are consistent with unity within the uncertainties, and no obvious LU violation is observed. Moreover, the ratio of BðD þ s → ημ þ ν μ Þ over BðD þ s → η 0 μ þ ν μ Þ is calculated to be 0.44 AE 0.23, which is in agreement with those of previous measurements [5,7,8,39] within uncertainties and provides complementary data to probe the η − η 0 -glueball mixing.…”

“…However, the progress in the studies of the D þ s SL decays is still relatively slow. Up to now, only D þ s semi-electronic decays have been investigated by various experiments [5][6][7][8] and no measurements of D þ s semi-muonic decays have been reported. We here report the first measurements of the BFs of the semimuonic decays D þ s → ημ þ ν μ , η 0 μ þ ν μ and ϕμ þ ν μ as well as a measurement of the BF of the semi-electronic decay D þ s → ϕe þ ν e .…”

“…Theoretical results are in good agreement with the CLEO results in Eqs. (3,4) [31][32][33]. We expect experimental errors will be greatly reduced since in future the BES-III collaboration will collect about 2f b −1 data in e + e − collision at the energy around 4.17GeV which will be used to study semileptonic and nonleptonic D s decays [34].…”
